Filter Media for Constructed Wetlands
-
Filter sand for constructed wetlands
Republic of Korea Patent Registration No. 0609837
Characteristic
- It is standardized after crushing rocks and mixed with
calcined oyster shells and can perform optimal filtering
and adsorption functions.
- It can maintain the surface roughness and voids suitable
for the attachment of microorganisms.
- The typical grain size of the filter sand is 2 to 5mm,
and it can be used semi-permanently.
-
Carrier for constructed wetland
Republic of Korea Patent Registration No. 0845521
Characteristic
- Provision of habitat for denitrification microorganisms
in constructed wetland type water purification facilities
after proper mixing of loess, oyster shell, sulfur, etc.
- Improved phosphorus removal rate with abundant cations,
improved denitrification rate by autotrophic
microorganisms despite lack of carbon source
- High durability as a calcined product with a typical grain
size of 20 to 25 mm
-
Filler for constructed wetlands
Republic of Korea Patent Registration No. 0994781
Characteristic
- A porous lightweight filter media with high porosity and
excellent adsorption capacity as a mixture of bottom ash
and calcined oyster shells.
- Functional filter media that can be applied to various fields due to its excellent specific surface area and air permeability and a large amount of cationic components.
- The typical grain size of the filler is 2 to 25mm,
and it can be used semi-permanently.
-
Filter media for constructed wetland
Republic of Korea Patent Registration No. 1552622
Characteristic
- In order to improve the porosity and permeability of the
filter sand for the existing constructed wetlands,
the filter sand with the fine grain size is minimized and
the content of the filter sand with the coarse grain size
is increased.
- The amount of treated water per unit area can be
increased and the air supply rate to the surface is
improved, so it can be applied to various fields such as
non-point source pollution reduction wetland and
polluted stream purification wetland as well as sewage
treatment plant.
- The typical grain size of the filter sand is 2 to 8mm,
and it can be used semi-permanently.
